Meet Your Chinese Medicine Practitioner

At a young age I was interested in medicine as I spent much of my childhood around a hospital setting watching my mother suffer with breast cancer. When I graduated elementary school, my goal was to become a doctor, like my childhood friend, Jocelyn.

After college, I started to suffer from constant neck and shoulder pain. Upset with the medical care I received, I turned to complementary medicine. First massage therapy, which helped tremendously with my neck and shoulder injury sustained from a car accident almost ten years prior. It helped so much, I became a licensed massage therapist in Los Angeles. I managed my own massage business, Heart In Hands, specializing in Swedish, deep tissue and sports massage techniques.

In 2002, my best friend became pregnant, which reawakened my natural born interest in medicine, and knew this path into integrative medicine was my life’s purpose. I trained with the Doulas of North America, assisting many women with the birth of their child. I had finally found a medicine that worked at a deep level to resolve problems, that treated patients with a personal touch, and gave me answers instead of always NO. In 2008, I obtained my master’s degree in Oriental medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin.

My passion for the past 10 years has been helping men and women in starting a family of their own. There is nothing more rewarding then to help those that have had trouble conceiving.

I am completely overjoyed when I receive a phone call from a patient letting me know they have a positive pregnancy test! I completely sympathize with those struggling to start a family. Its my passion to help my patients take control of their health and obtain their dreams by integrating Chinese medicine, meditation, exercise and nutrition. I am a proud Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine.

I strongly believe in the integration of Western and Eastern medicine, Chinese herbs, nutrition and exercise to achieve balance and health. Its not just one thing that will make you healthy, but a combination to HEAL.GROW.THRIVE.

Yet, my journey continued. After helping so many women start a family with the use of Chinese Medicine, it was time to start my own family. Receiving disappointing news from a reproductive endocrinologist, I once again turned to alternative medicine, integrating Chinese medicine, meditation, exercise and nutrition. Its been a long road, but I completely sympathize with those struggling to start a family. Its my passion to help my patients take control of their health and obtain their dreams. I am proud to announce I am a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. And even more proud to say I have the most beautiful baby ever!
